Can you believe snow on the beach in Surf City and Wilmington? It's rare because the ocean acts to modify the land surface weather. That's why you like to come in the summer, because when it is HOT where you live, the ocean breezes make it very comfortable on Topsail Island.
But in the fall, winter and early spring, the opposite happens. When it is cold where you ive, the ocean warms up the beach. That's why so many people come to visit in the "off-season".

That sounds so weird. Does it also snow in beaches such as Palmar Beach Hotel in Mauritius?
I love snow on the beach! I usually stay at the resorts in Myrtle Beach SC, but it would be great to see some snow. It gets nice and chilly down there, but I don’t think it get actually cold enough to snow – that snowman is great, especially the shades. You know, I never thought about the ocean warming up the coast – that’s brilliant! No wonder I like to walk the beach on a winter morning!
